Mass shootings, in comparison, are a recent and a sadly disturbing phenomena. Confiscating the rifles from law-abiding citizens (the only ones who would capitulate to an edict of this kind) would give more control to Democrats but sadly not solve the problem.
What would help would be to correct the flaws in our society that lead to these shootings.
As horrific as they are, each year far more baby boys and girls who survive botched late term abortions are left to die – children who otherwise would be loved by couples waiting to adopt. Thus, the Senate Republicans put forth the “Right to Life Bill” but sadly, like the children, it died because Democrats voted against it.
