As of April 1, LPEA, our electric cooperative, has exited its restrictive contract with Tri-State and is now finally able to truly serve its members. This means keeping electric rates affordable by not passing on Tri-State’s 7% rate increase, generating more local electricity beyond Tri-State’s previous 5% limitation and planning for microgrids for greater resiliency. Accomplishing this required the expertise and knowledge of LPEA’s staff members and board.

David Luschen holds engineering and MBA degrees. His professional career was spent working for the nation’s largest publicly owned utility, and his knowledge and experience on the LPEA board are invaluable. David is a team player – serving as a director of our cooperative, representing it on the Western United Electric Supply board and volunteering in our community in other capacities.

Please reelect David Luschen in District 4 to ensure LPEA’s continued success.
