The $2.65 million purchase price referenced in the recent article on workforce housing (Herald, April 17) would pay the rent on many apartments for educators in need. The smarter move would be investing a similar amount: Educators get monthly rent paid on an apartment while the initial $2.65 million continues to grow through prudent investment.
I’ve done enough real estate deals to recognize that the one proposed here raises too many red flags – not least, questions about the integrity of the developer.
