“Dear Honorable President Donald J. Trump, First Lady, Senators, Congressmen and staff: One of the many slogans on banners across the nation the day after the horrible white supremacist rally on Aug. 12 was “Hate Speech is not equal to Free Speech.”
My request to you is to pass speedy legislation that allows the arrest of anyone bearing arms at a rally. White supremacists had many more weapons on their bodies than law enforcement and a vehicle mowed down peaceful protesters and one person died.
More of this domestic violence was threatened in future rallies by racists. Please, nip this in the bud now.”
