This critical literature review seems more important as methods of communication allow us easy access to research.

Please spend some time doing research on community water fluoridation.

I would like to acknowledge our water utilities commission and our City Council for their leadership in researching community water fluoridation over several months last year. I know many hours were spent listening to stakeholder groups, reading, researching and evaluating before making a decision to keep fluoride in our public water system.

I urge each of you to take a look at some of the recent and credible sources of research available before making this important decision for our community.

Links for recent and well-researched views of community water fluoridation can be found online through the American Dental Association at http://bit.ly/1GQ34UH; the U.S. Public Health Service at http://bit.ly/2jVX1LO and the American Academy of Pediatrics at http://bit.ly/2liGX3J.
