With these conditions, without rain, we know definitely that these fires were bound to happen, just as they may continue anywhere, at any time, by any means. Lacking omniscience and omnipotence, we may have no control over that, which still does not relieve us of the responsibility, insofar as our limited capacity for foresight allows, for vigilance, awareness and concern.
We can and must be grateful for our firefighters, our neighbors and friends, our families, for those offering kindness and assistance, and we must support all those individuals and businesses in our community who everyday throughout the year offer their services, aid and adventures. Let us all now forgo anger, fear and irrationality and be on guard, while dancing, hoping and praying.
