I myself have made five visits to Durango to ride and photograph since my first visit in 1994, enjoying the overall history, the restaurants and a few bars. It would be a great shame if these late arrivals and their not-in-my-backyard attitudes were allowed to forever ruin what is one of the worlds great railroad attractions and rides.
Well done and thank you to all involved in fighting the 416 Fire. Looking forward to being back in Durango next year – just hope there is a train to ride.
