Wednesday afternoon, Sargent athletic director Clint Mondragon informed IHS counterpart Rocky Cundiff that the teams’ March 16 meeting – Ignacio’s season-opener – out in the San Luis Valley would be canceled, likely because of predicted weather connected with the storm that blasted the Rockies and eastward during the past couple days. The Bobcats’ schedule now shows them getting underway at 4 p.m. Monday on the road at Bloomfield’s junior varsity in New Mexico. The Ignacio Invitational is slated to begin Thursday.
