The library offers a range of paperback books, from nonfiction to fantasy, self-help to inspirational, art to science, as well as Native American and Spanish themes, and we often get to help an inmate find just the right book. These books introduce inmates to new ideas and viewpoints, spark their imagination and, for some, improve their reading abilities. The library could use more volunteers, so anyone who enjoys reading and is interested should call the chaplain at the jail (247-1161) for details.
