A candidate could promise to support any state that comes up with a good universal health care proposal backed by its voters. This is how Canada did it, one province at a time.
If a state is able to develop a health care system where patients don’t have to worry about medical bills and doctors can practice medicine without dealing with 50 different insurance companies, others will follow.
