Most important was his point that health care insurance is not the same as access to health care. Health care is still out of reach for many.

I recognize that insurance companies are not charities and generating profits is their primary goal. As long as insurance carriers are restricted from a competitive marketplace we won’t see any relief from outrageous rates and deductibles.

Let’s give Republicans a chance to introduce a new plan. If you haven’t read the column, its worth digging that paper out of the recycle bin.
