75 years ago: “Fresh from the presses of the Herald Publishing company, the Durango high school annual – The Toltec – was delivered to the school this afternoon. The books will be distributed Wednesday morning.”
50 years ago: “The Bill Burrud Productions Company will be in the area next week for approximately five days to do a documentary film on Mesa Verde National Park. It will be done in color to be viewed by millions as the program will receive prime time on major TV stations.”
25 years ago: “After a successful baccalaureate last night, the Durango High School graduates – 205 strong in the class of ’91 – will receive their diplomas tonight at 6 at the Fort Lewis College Fieldhouse. Ignacio High School graduates 63 Friday at 5 p.m. at the football field, and Bayfield High School graduates 47 at 11 a.m. at the football field.”
