Hawk Tank Business Plan Competition participants won over $65,000 in cash and scholarship awards this year. After a live round competition April 24, the winners were announced in a congratulatory video.
A total of five high school teams, three recent alumni teams, three San Juan College student teams and seven Fort Lewis College student teams competed in the final round.
First ($1,000 and scholarships): Kenyan Coffee; sells coffee, pastries and tea from Kenya, Africa.
Second ($500 and scholarships): Top Choice, an experience creation app.
Third ($250 and scholarships): Solace, a sustainable fashion company that is inclusive for all sizes.
First ($5,000): Off the Couch Media; sells digital resources for users to build skills and plan outdoor adventures.
First ($5,000): Zia Drone Operations; aerial services with a focus on exceptional customer service.
Second ($2,500): The Lunch Basket; food truck specializing in breakfast, lunch and pop-up occasions.
Third ($1,000): SilverSage Roastery; coffee company that empowers employees while increasing revenue.
First ($5,000): ATSA Records; Indigenous-based company with mission to increase Native or tribal presence in the entertainment industry.
Second ($2,500): Z’s Performance & Repair; auto facility specializing in off-road performance, fabrication and repair.
Third ($1,000): Perin’s Krash-Kit; fanny pack with integrated first aid kit and adaptability into emergency arm sling.
