We called our neighbor, Lynn Witt, and he brought his tow rope. Meanwhile, we thanked 20 other caring folks who stopped to offer support. A large and heavy truck was needed, and the right angels arrived: Mike Terry and his son Ryan and another gentleman who stopped to assist, though we waved him on. The three of them mixed and matched hooks and chains to get the Terry’s truck to the one road patch clear of ice for traction, and our car came out unscathed.

We are deeply grateful to these four Samaritans who cared so much and saved our day.
