The car, named Solis, drove about 216 miles of the route from Fort Worth, Texas, to the Minneapolis area, and while the team came in last in their division, they were given an award for their courage in confronting engineering obstacles.

The duo bought a special experimental vehicle license that will allow them to drive the distinctive vehicle for another couple of weeks, so Durangoans who can’t make it Saturday to the Powerhouse may see it tooling along on Durango’s streets.
