Science projects take center stage at annual fair

Animas High School sophomore Isaac Jordan, the son of Mike and Dion Jordan, demonstrates his science project to make an artificial muscle at the 2016 San Juan Basin Regional Science Fair. The fair, sponsored by San Juan BOCES, was Thursday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. It is for middle school and high school students in Archuleta, Dolores, Hinsdale, La Plata, Montezuma and San Juan counties.
