Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, a Postal Service delivery person found the body of Hand on the front porch of a home in the 5000 block of County Road 311.

County Coroner Jann Smith said an autopsy will be performed Tuesday, but the cause of death appears to be a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Jann said Hand’s next of kin were notified Friday night.
