As the meeting concluded, La Plata County Farm Bureau President Tom Talley announced he was stepping down after seven years of service as county President. As a result, La Plata County Farm Bureau named Jesse Lasater as President for 2014-2015.

The La Plata County Farm Bureau is an independent, non-governmental, voluntary organization focused on the preservation and promotion of local agriculture.
