Helping the river for a quarter of a century

A memorial dedicated to the work of the Animas River Stakeholders Group was dedicated Friday along the bank of the river in Silverton, downstream from the confluence with Cement Creek. The memorial is a circle of stone seats using historic mining equipment donated by the San Juan County Historical Society and rocks donated by the Bureau of Land Management.
