City of Durango recreation supervisor Matt Morrissey clears ice Friday after operating the Zamboni at Chapman Hill Ice Rink. The rink opens Saturday with the annual hockey gear swap from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A free barbecue will start at noon, and free ice skating will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gear for the swap can be dropped off at 9 a.m.
