The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports Paul Rosier, a longtime educator who led School District 51 between 1989 and 1994, was sentenced Tuesday after previously pleading guilty in eastern Washington to attempted child-sex trafficking.

The 76-year-old was living in Olympia, Washington, in April 2017 when he was ensnared by undercover police officers.

Investigators say a Kennewick Police Department detective posed as a 16-year-old pimp using a texting application, and Rosier sent a message looking for a “hook up” while he was in town.

Rosier will be required to register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
