Erie Police Chief Kim Stewart tells The Daily Camera in Boulder it appears the man’s clothing became entangled in an auger that was attached to a tractor Monday afternoon. She called the accident a “terrible and sad situation.”
The Weld County coroner’s office will perform an autopsy on the Erie man, whose name and age have not been released.
