Applications are conducted to improve the quality of the right-of-ways, parks and open spaces. The weed control is repeatedly tested and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and Scott’s Pro-Lawn is licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Spraying will commence Tuesday and continue through Oct. 9. Dates are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Tuesday: Buckley Park, Rotary Park, Chapman Hill turf areas and Downtown Brown.

Thursday: Crestview Park, Viles Park, Fassbinder Park and Roosa Park.

Sept. 24: Third Avenue Parkway.

Sept. 25: Durango Community Recreation Center turf and Rank Park.

Sept. 26: The Softball Complex at Fort Lewis College, Jenkins Ranch Park and Hillcrest View Park.

Oct. 1: Santa Rita playground turf area and Confluence Park.

Oct. 3: Whitewater Park and Historic Tram Park.

Oct. 4: Animas City Park

Oct. 6: Riverview Sports Complex, Devin Hart Memorial field, Carnegie turf area and Mason turf area.

Oct. 8-9: Greenmount Cemetery.
