Memro recently died suddenly from acute myeloid leukemia. Memro was the father of seven children and stepchildren and grandfather of three. All proceeds from the cook-off will benefit the Memro family to offset costs of funeral expenses and medical costs.
The entry fee is $10 for chili submissions. There will be red and green chili category winners. The winner will take the pot and dinner for two at The Ore House.
Entrance to the cook-off is $10 at the door.
