The forests will take more than 20 years to show any kind of evidence of healing from the aftermath of this fire’s devastating power.

I understand that most people don’t have the compassion for wildlife – big, small, scaley or feathered – that I do, and that’s OK, but my heart breaks and aches for them. We as the dominant kings and queens of the jungle, so to speak, should respect, protect, give soulful regard to, and try to help our wildlife, now displaced and homeless.
