We are absolutely appalled by Sen. Michael Bennet, and we say that as lifelong Democrats who worked hard to get him elected to the Senate in 2010, 2016 and 2022.
We have to wonder at the initials “M.B.” – do they stand for Michael Bennet or Michael Bloomberg? Former New York City Mayor Bloomberg recently contributed an additional $2.2 million to Bennet’s PAC coffers, bringing his total donation to $4.7 million. That’s a lot of money for most of us, but not for the billionaire M.B. The former mayor appears to be trying to buy both a governor’s seat and a Senate seat – if Bennet wins, he will appoint his successor.
The lies being spewed on our airwaves daily about Phil Weiser by the Bennet campaign are poisonous and easily countered. Did Barack Obama endorse Bennet? Absolutely – in 2010, in Bennet’s run for Senate.
Bennet still has almost three years left on his term but has missed 94% of roll call votes at his full-time, well-paid job since mid-May, including the War Powers Resolution regarding Iran. He’s barely meeting with constituents – just ask the 100,000-person Muslim Votes Coalition of Denver, whom he stood up because he was concerned they’d question him about AIPAC, Israel, Gaza or Lebanon.
Why give him a new job when he’s not doing the one he has? Meanwhile, his opponent has raised 90% of his campaign money in-state. Who do you think will listen more to you: Michael Bennet or Phil Weiser? Join us and send big money a message.
