A driver was cited for careless driving, and two people were sent to Mercy Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries after a car collided with pedestrians at the intersection of Main Avenue and College Drive on Saturday afternoon, said officer David Smith of Durango Police Department. Smith said the driver was attempting to turn south onto Main Avenue from East College Drive when he struck the pedestrians in the crosswalk. Smith said he had not yet determined if the walk signal was on at the time of the accident.
