Kusar is currently at the MD Anderson Center in Houston undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments while his wife and children remain in Durango. He will soon receive a bone marrow transplant from his brother and be quarantined in Houston for 90 days.
Tickets are $5 per person at the door for a tasting cup, and donations will be accepted by voting for your favorite chili. There will also be a pie auction and a silent auction.
For more information or to donate a prize for the auction, contact Joe Clair at 903-9417. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go toward the Kusar family’s medical expenses.
