Public Memorial Day services at Iris Park and Greenmount Cemetery have been canceled this year because of the coronavirus. The Vietnam memorial in Iris Park is also closed to public access because of construction. Local veterans asked residents to honor military personnel who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in their own way. The National Moment of Remembrance suggests Americans, wherever they are at 3 p.m. local time Monday, pause for the duration of one minute to remember those who have died serving the United States.
