Through it, I learned that Durango had a zoo and it had to close because of the Depression and how the area handled Civilian Conservation Corps camps.

I’m disappointed that recently the Herald changed the feature to only include “50 years ago” and “25 years ago.”

With the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, I was looking forward to seeing how Durango handled the home front of World War II on a daily basis.

Please consider bringing the “75 years ago” view back.
