The family of Ward Lee invites friends, ballplayers, classmates and the Durango community for an afternoon of celebrating Coach Ward Lee’s life and legacy beginning at 1:30 p.m. April 27 at Ward Lee Field at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 main Ave.

The day’s activities will include:

1:30-3 p.m.: Gathering on the field to share stories and memories.3-3:25 p.m.: Youth Baseball and Softball League Opening Day Ceremonies.3:25 p.m.: First pitch.3:30 p.m.: 14U game.
