Today, if you visit the corner of Seventh Street and East Second Avenue, you will see the Artesanos Design furniture store. The building to the left is still known as the Rochester Hotel. It was originally built in 1892 and was initially named the Peeples Hotel but was later renamed the Rochester. The Durango Boarding and Feed Stable, located at 702 East Second Ave., was previously known as the Durango Transfer and Livery Stable before Charles Wood became the owner around 1900. Wood and his partner J.W. Morgan sold the business to James Jarvis by 1908.
