Shannon Mazur, a doctor of veterinary medicine, examines the inner ear of a dog while budding young veterinarians look on during Riverview Animal Hospital’s annual open house. Riverview Animal Hospital closed normal operations for two hours Tuesday to help inspire children who might be interested in becoming veterinarians and educate them as to what goes on behind the scenes at the animal hospital.
