Looking into Walker Stapleton’s campaign finances, he has received more money from extractive industries than any other candidate, a quarter of his contributions from out of state, including some from his wealthy cousins in Texas and Florida. It’s tainted money. I don’t think tainted money is good for Colorado.

I hope that when ballots are in hand, each person will take the time to look carefully at each candidate, each issue, rather than voting on a single-issue platform or merely listening to sound bites.

Do you want a candidate with specific experience for a job or someone who has general experience or interest requiring on-the-job training? Do you want the long term benefits of your tax dollars or are you looking short term at your pocketbook? Do you want to vote for someone funded by special interests making the candidate beholden to their agenda?

This is a critical election for our county, our state and our country. Please vote wisely.
