He claims he’ll do away with unfunded government mandates that he has no control over or ability to influence. He’s against all things governmental, yet is heavily subsidized by the federal government via pennies-on-the-dollar leases for his sheep-grazing public lands. How about if we cut funding for that federal program, and he can trash his own land? That would be a true cost savings to all of us. He claims to be a true American but simply cannot grasp the separation-of-church-and-state concept, letting God guide his decisions instead of voters.

Duke Schirard simply has to go. Just the fact that he’s even communicating with the likes of Wendy Cox shows he’s completely gone off the deep end. His failure to uphold the laws of the land and his open contempt for Durango citizens make him unfit for his position.
