Results: Women’s Singles Semifinals – No. 1 Serena Williams beat No. 17 Ekaterina Makarova 6-1, 6-3 to advance to her 22nd Grand Slam final, where she will face No. 10 Caroline Wozniacki. Wozniacki advanced when her opponent, unseeded Peng Shuai, had to retire in the second set of their match with heat illness. Mixed Doubles Final – Sania Mirza and Bruno Soares won their first Grand Slam title as a team, beating Santiago Gonzalez and Abigail Spears in three sets. It was the third career Grand Slam mixed doubles title for Mirza and the second for Soares.
