Time to sharpen the edges? Silverton Mountain reported as much as 2 to 3 feet of fresh snow from the weekend storm. Silverton Mountain ski patroller Marc Kloster takes a run Monday after several patrollers jumped on the chairlift and made their first turns of the 2013-14 season. The area is scheduled to open Dec. 21, but that date could be moved up if conditions allow, area spokeswoman Jen Brill said in an email.
