The rodeo shares the tradition and history of early settlers who gathered for competitions which highlight everyday life on the ranch and the frontier.
Each Wednesday a local nonprofit that offers help for different community needs benefits from the rodeo. On Wednesday, the Cancer Coalition of Southwest Colorado will be the beneficiary. CCSC gives grants and gas cards to the many residents in cancer treatment.
