Special thanks go to Southwest Ag and the Hillyer family for again supplying their big tent, and to the tall Hillyer guys who put it up and take it down.

Special thanks to Barb and John Wickman and Native Roots Garden Center for providing the beautiful flower displays that enhanced the garden atmosphere as well as our event proceeds.

Thanks also once again to Southern Ute Head Start which provides our tables and chairs, and to the Ignacio High School FFA members who help bring them and get them set up.

Thanks to Ska and A&L Coors in Durango for their help on beer prices. And thanks to our club members who spent several hours of their Independence Day operating the beer garden.

Most of our club fundraiser proceeds go to programs that assist local kids, especially those from families that are struggling economically. This summer we also will commit proceeds to help the local Disabled American Veterans buy a new van to make trips to Albuquerque several times a week for local vets to get health care.

Our next fundraiser will be the Blue Ewe raffle as part of Bayfield Heritage Day on Sept. 26. Tickets are now available from club members.

FYI – Our club meets each Wednesday at noon at Tequila’s in downtown Bayfield. Visitors are always welcome.
