A trunk show of 57 small art quilts featuring multiple surface design and stitching methods, are made by a collection of artists from the United States and abroad, and measure 7 feet by 10 feet. Each quilt is paired with detailed information regarding techniques and materials.
Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1989 by an initial group of 50 artists, and has grown to over 3,400 members. SAQA’s traveling trunk shows are designed to showcase a diversity of talent and to support their mission to “promote the art quilt through education, exhibitions, professional development, documentation and publications.”
