Stand-up paddle boarders make their way down the Animas River on Sunday for “A Paddle and a Pint for the Cure,” a fundraiser for local residents coping with cancer. Organizers hoped to attract 20 people and raise $500. They exceeded that by raising $1,740, Shaw said. All of the proceeds will go to the Women’s Health Coalition.
