Ari Garcia used her head to keep possession in the first half, then used her leg to score the game’s only goal in the 55th minute as No. 3 St. Edward’s (17-0-2) topped No. 6 Texas A&M-Commerce (11-6-2) 1-0 on Friday at Dirks Field in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. St. Edward’s will take on No. 2 seed and host Fort Lewis College (16-5-0) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dirks Field with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line.
