Follow the white chalk arrows.
It’s that time of the year again: Wednesday cyclocross racing at the Factory Trails behind Bader Dorm on the Fort Lewis College campus. This year’s practices will begin at noon.
For those driving to the Factory Trails, you’ll need to purchase a one-day parking permit at the 8th Ave. and Fort Lewis Drive kiosks, then park in any lot labeled C (there is one right across from the trails).
FLC cycling director Dave Hagen warns that the trail system is open to other cyclists, as well, “so keep your head up and warn your cohorts if you encounter others,” he said in an email to The Durango Herald.
Also, “there are a lot of rocks, roots, ruts and a few pockets of glass out there, so bring your expensive tubulars at your own risk,” Hagen said.
