At the April 15 City Council meeting, City Manager Ron LeBlanc said they needed the 127 residents’ money to pay for new sewer infrastructure. About the party, he said, “And that is a small price to pay to recognize someone who did such a great job for 37 years.” (Herald, May 11).

So, is the city short on cash for infrastructure or not? Do they really need to gouge the 127 residents or could they just stop throwing exorbitant parties?
