Meanwhile, Sean Smith has been working for this community. His management of the 416 Fire bears repeating. No deaths. No major injuries. No homes lost. An orderly, well-coordinated evacuation plan. No looting, vandalism or robberies of evacuees’ homes. This alone should be enough to ensure Sean Smith’s re-election. But wait, there’s more.
Sean has brought in new outside revenues of $750,000 and acquired $300,000 worth of surplus emergency equipment and saved $2 million in our tax dollars over the last three years. He has been developing community policing protocols including adding a second school safety officer. Sean’s department has also filed criminal charges in the homicide of Dylan Redwine.
Sean Smith has a positive vision for making the La Plata County sheriff’s department a 21st century, service-oriented law enforcement organization, one that we can all be proud of.
I urge you to vote for Sean Smith.
