Regardless, one must ask whether the sculpture is a fit for its location in Durango. Weekdays, as I depart for my job site, I pass this art. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate for it to be placed near a Chevrolet dealership, a herd of Texas longhorns or a military installation? That V-shaped design resembles the symbol of a Chevy automobile, that large animal or a stealth bomber. Perhaps the fit may be more appropriate elsewhere. There are auto dealerships further east on Highway 160, but still in Durango.
