I have, since construction started, tried to figure out one single thing being done that is going to help traffic congestion at that intersection. On the contrary, it is becoming more and more apparent to me that, if anything, it’s going to be much worse. I guess time will tell.

Now, in addition to the traffic mess, workers have added insult to injury by installing a sculpture that can only be referred to as “rocks on a rod” or maybe “The Thing.” Didn’t any of the people responsible for “The Thing” realize Durango is first and foremost a historic town? If the state of Colorado, county, city or any governmental agency spent $1 on that thing, all is lost.
