Original reports about 6:10 p.m. Monday said someone was trapped inside the vehicle, but later said the person had been extracted and was conscious and breathing.
Animas Drive was closed briefly while emergency workers freed the driver and removed the car. Police reopened the road about 6:50 p.m.
