William Tookey, San Juan County administrator, was elected as chairman to replace Dan Fernandez, who held the position for eight years. Also elected were: Todd Starr, Archuleta County attorney, as vice chair; Shane Hale, Cortez city manager, as secretary; and Laurie Sigillito, owner of Fast Signs and Fastforward Media, as treasurer.
Three board members were appointed to the executive committee: Dan Fernandez, former board chairman and Dolores County representative; Mary Jo Coulehan of the Pagosa Springs Chamber and Dewayne Findley, Montezuma County representative.
The board meets quarterly; the next meeting will be held in January.
