It’s called a lemonade social and it’s scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. at the San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Court.
Chadwick, who replaces Mark Stiles, who retired, was assistant director for forest management for the U.S. Forest Service in Washington, D.C., when tapped for the post in Durango.
Chadwick has a degree in natural resource management from the University of Montana. She began her career with the Forest Service in 1985.
